Water is a highly valuable resource that is becoming more of a concern as the world population increases. Why is water a concern when there are over 369 quintillion gallons of water on earth? Well picture this:
If a gallon jug was representing all the water on earth, fifteen and a half cups of the sixteen contained in the jug would be undrinkable, salty ocean water. Of the remaining half cup that represents all the freshwater on earth, only one drop is fresh surface water like that found in lakes and rivers. Yes, that is only 1 percent of the total fresh water on Earth, or just that one drop!
There was some food...or rather WATER... for thought.
