Urban Farming: One Way to Solve Hunger?

One novel approach to ending hunger is urban farming. After all, by 2030, 60% of the population in developing countries (those most affected by hunger) is located in urban areas. With this in mind, something that may help combat hunger is urban farming. Urban farming can range anywhere from a small community garden to a large hydroponics system. Interestingly enough, if 10% of the area in cities was dedicated to urban farming, these farms could feed all of the demand for vegetables in the city. Urban farming is definitely worth thinking about when it comes to solving the issue of hunger.

Take action! Start a small community garden or research grants to fund a larger operation!
